About

I’m a Sydney-born journalist who, in late 2008, packed up everything and flew to India for a bit of an adventure. A stint freelancing in Bombay was followed six months later by a full-time gig in New Delhi.

Along the way I’ve seen a tiny fraction of what India has to offer. I’ve got the chance to live and work here after the Indian government issued me with a Persons of Indian Origin card, something that causes no end of confusion for hotel staff, immigration officers and numerous other officials across the sub-continent.

As a white guy – or gora – I’m, not exactly the most Indian looking person of Indian origin, which can make for interesting encounters in the country.
